No No the Vette hasnt had leafspring since the C4 gen with the exception to the C4 ZR1 and C4 Grandsport. The C5 had a transverse LS but it had no affect on the rear wheels it was used to control body roll is high speed turns. The C6 no Leafsprings at all, and the Z06 and ZR1 have Magnetic Selective independent rear suspension pioneered by GM its so good Ferrari uses the exact same one on the 599 GTB

(slapping forehead) i know the stang has a live axel, who doesnt? euro fanboys use that against it all the time, but it works. the corvette has leaf springs, and it handles. same with the stang, they took an old tech and made it work. the car is balanced, it dances through corners. the dodge has a true lim slip diff, and the stang has many axle ratio options, including a lim slip diff. did you drive the gt with the track pack? the v6 camaro is the better handling one, is that what your buying?

yes way better quality, but the only thing I can complain about is the live rear axle and leafsprings. Its not like they cant the Camaro has independent rear suspension and a limited slip diff. But it still is pretty composed for the most part.

Ya muscle cars are a real handle on the turns though. The Base Lancers and Imprezas are trash in terms or quality and performance. People need to open their eyes and check out the American cars again, most haters twords them are the ones who havent driven them yet.

of course his car is awd, and the rs'es problem isnt the price its us crash and emissions legislation. muscle doesnt take skil to drive, just point it toward the horizon and floor it. if you cant shift it theres an app for that (slushbox). the main apeal of evos and lancers is that if your drunk and you squint you can see the real thing, a awd rally car. the maintenance on those are rediculus though. when toyota finds its electronic glitch they will go from critical to terminal methinks

Well he'll be in the AWD Focus RS also. The GT500 is in the 50k range. And If Ford can trim the Price they could easily sell it here. And the RS is extremely easy to drive fast where as muscle cars take more skill. As for Toyota one more major recall and they really will suffer. And with the expetion of the Evo the Lancers are total crap underpowerd and very unreiable according to KBB.

ken block is the only reason i want a sti, not sure about that fiesta yet. good car, but needs awd or rwd and a crapload of power i dont think people here care about a hatch outperforming a stang, they just want the looks. the rs would be fun to drive, but in the 40k range its in gt500 territory mitsubishi still makes cars? huh... toyota can just go back to japan and stay there. they are even bastardixing aston martin now, somebody has to stop them and ford doing it is all the better

The thing is though that due to finacial problems Subie has dropped out of the WRC hence the reason why Ken Block went to Ford for his WRC debut. The main reason the RS isnt sold here is because it can outperform the 4.6 stang. And although the 5.0 could beat in the 1/4 the RS most likely would beat in on the track. But Mitsubishi's quality is really dropped and their sales havent improved last I checked. But Toyota and Honda are losing to Ford in the sedan market.

the rs i would buy with my own money, and i see why it sells in europe. but how will it fare here against the cheaper more powerfull 5.0 mustang? yes, hopefully the prius dies a agonizing death. cant tell you how many prius drivers have cut me off just because i drive a gas guzzlin orange truck mitsu and subaru are niche carmakers, they arent trying to sell huge abounts of cars and ont have to. they are actually growing, but if they dont get back into the wrc they might have problems soon

Also look up the Ford Focus RS it is embarassing the STi and EVO in sales and it can hang with them performance wise. I hope they bring that to the US market. The Chevy Volt is going to finish off the Pruis and Insight. But Im going to have to say mitsubishi dies then possibly Subaru or one of the smaller companies first.

Ya he's in denial the Jap auto industry peaked and is now currently on a decline. The Focus is outselling and out performing the Corrolla and Civic Fusion is outselling the Camry, Sonata, Accord etc... That Buick is now preferred by every major independent review over the Lexus. Caddilac is taking it to the German sedans. Detroit is on its way back.
