@ldawson103 I agree with you that a 3 speed and 120hp are junk but when you look at the price it kind of makes sense. Vans have always been made cheap and as a point to point grocery getter.

@legionaire1962 The first gen Azteck (er' first revision) didn't look totally terible IMO but yes they're both ugly.

@bajabusta Just for reference the primary competition of the Trans Sport had 4 speed automatics in 1990. The Dodge Caravan, Ford Aerostar, Nissan Axxess, and even the Chevy Astro could all be had with 4 speed automatics. The TBI 3.1L was also the weakest V6 you could get in U.S. spec minivan in 1990 as well. The U body vans didn't gain parity in terms of performance until 1993. 4 speed automatics were more common than 3 speeds by 1990.
Idawason103's comments are accurate.

@ldawson103
HP means nothing with such a heavy car. Getting it off the ground requires something called Torque which the Civic engine had hardly any albeit it didnt really need any.
4 Speed Automatics were not common in the 80`s but became the norm in the 90`s. GM had 4 speed automatics in the 1980`s I think they were called the TH325-4L then in the 90`s came the 4L60 and 80 and the Transport did have one as an option.

@somewhatlongdong rust belt ruins my life.
somewhatlongdong(2 months ago)
these things were just stupid, as simple as that. yes, it had the plastic body panels, but in the rust belt, it just rotted out the frame.

Mine has over 140k (94) and still runs like great. Doesn't burn any oil at all, starts on a dime, and is just so freekin roomy. (I'm almost 7 ft tall) I love it. As far as minivans go...its a great vehicle.They all had good Motor/Trans conbos (3.1 v6 / 3 Speed; 3.8 / 4 speed in the optional after 94) so they like to run forever. (Normally 225 - 300k engines/trans) Also, the 3.1 isn't slow....but its defiantly not fast, but for gods sake...its a MINIVAN. xD

DO want. You can lose stuff forever on that dashboard. D:
It's almost a work of art :D
And, it's just about as race-able as the V8 Astro vans :3
