I love old school muscle cars like the 69 Z28 or SS. or the REAL Shelby, the 3 Shelby Mustang 350s and 500s. But the current incarnation of most of the great muscle cars is pathetic at best. With the exception of the 2010 Camaro. that one is bad ass. If i didnt have a family, id probably get the new SS, but its not really the most practical car for a kid, wife, groceries, stoller, and a dog...

ya, the ralliart is pretty damn nice too. As is the MS3, the US companies need to get a good tuner car out like the Focus RS, and the 09 Cobalt SS is pretty bad ass too, but its still a damn Cobalt. These domestic and import tuner cars are the new muscle cars, these are the new hot rodders. Tehcnology changes, and if a company cant keep up, then they end up hurting like the big 3 are hurting right now.

Ive owned a Z28, supercharged V6 mustang convertable putting down 291hp (more than that POS shelby) to the wheels, and currently own a modded WRX, about to get my bigger turbo. Even without the bigger turbo, the WRX is by FAR the more fun car to drive. Let the chicks look at the Mustang, but dont let them drive a WRX, or they wont give it back!

ralliart is a lancer. as far as the looks go, seriously? is this the only argument mustang lovers can come up with then their old crap technology gets its ass handed to it by a 4 cyl turbo rally car? The only argument the mustang guys ever give is some lame specious argument about getting laid with a mustang. its been said before, but let me reitterate, if you need a car to get laid, YOU ARE A LOOSER!! If you want an awesome ride and have the ability to avoid the idiots on the road, get the STI.

Shelby=muscle Subaru= Rally/tuner They are in two completely different catorgories. i don't understand the point in comparing them. eh They're both really good vehicles. both strong in their own circle. but you could compare them on paper and come up with the same answer. I personally like the Shelby but if i was going to do a lot of driving on abnormal roads i'd take the STI.

The sti should not be 4 door

Mustang is for a Wal-Mart parking lot and Subaru is a driver's car? So when you're doing 30 mph around town or 60 mph on the highway do you really need such precision handling? NO! So when you buy a Subaru you're just driving around in an ugly-ass "car" and sitting on a wooden bench. And when your teeth fall out because of ride "comfort" you can always say: "at least it handles well" :D

this test is totaly ridicoules.......the mustang is a legend, the subaru is just a car!

I love both cars, but the outcome was kind of predictable. I would really like to see how the new STI handles a GT500, or GT500KR.

they really fucked it up with that hatchback. Looks like something a soccor mom would drive, right after she put her groceries in the back. I'd take that stang any day of the week.

they seem very comparable to me, the purpose of both is to be a sports car.

yeah i am kind of partial..i have always been a mustang fan..i have had six so far...the only reason i was looking at this vidio is because i am looking to get a shelby gt here real soon...i'll probably add the supercharger myself to get the extra power.... nothing agaist the STI but I just like the muscle car and raw power. You cant beat the sound of a healthy V8

I think thats the only thing Ford has goin for it right now, brand recognition and cult followings. obviously they dont have the technology, or performance to back up their historical prowess.

im still a huge mustang fan and would take it any day over teh STI
