Test Drive Tube / Volvo / Volvo C70

have you ever survived a crash with a toyota/lexus/etc car? I did with a S60 volvo. Mostly only a broken hand and scratches. My dad had a broken arm, because he was wearing the belt in a wrong way. So? If I was driving a corolla/camry I bet I wouldn't be writing this. Not even the glass bursted. but the rest was a total loss.

Im sure you'll be unpleasantly surprised!! :) or you can just hop on to JD Power and Associates and look up your Volvo's quality and reliability ratings

lets get one thing straight immediately. I DO NOT own a toyota carolla. why would i be caught dead in a shitty car like that?? the only Toyota ive EVER owned is a 4Runner. im no Toyota fanboy at all. My top two brands that ive been driving for the past two decades has been Mercedes and BMW. And yes, lexus's (essentially a polished up toyota) are WAYYYY nicer and more luxurious than Volvo's.

have you drove a volvo? your probably a owner of a toyota corolla form the 90's and it still drives so you think its durable. you said volvo's are unreliable is completely false! saying a toyota is better than a volvo overall is like saying a kia is better than a lexus they cant compare!

also not to mention how does having more features make your car better quality? by quality, they mean the strength of the car's materials and trims. Vovlo's are the most bland styled cars, are very un-appealing, and there is no way in hell they have good quality. And i also know for a fact they are among the most unreliable brands of car. The Volvo i would ever be caught driving is the C70

Are you joking right now? lol. The only Volvo's rated "avergae reliability" were the S60, S80, and V70. The S40, V50, C70, C30, and XC90 were all rated as "well below average" according to consumer reports. Volvo's are within the least reliable cars of 2007. Land Rover, Cadillac, Mercedes, and Volvo were all the bottom four brands of cars in overall reliability for 2006. Mercedes picked up their act in 07 but not so sure about Volvo. Toyota + Honda are the two most reliable and best quality

how can you say that toyota's are more reliable than the volvo, and say they have more QUALITY? im not even going to tell you what wrong with that statement...check out the features on the new volvos. i kno they probably not as strong as the use to be but they are still good reliable cars way better than a toyota or honda

based on refinement and safety there is obviously no comparison with Toyota and Volvo. however, Toyota's cars are WAYYYY more reliable than Volvo. Also Toyota's are the fifth best rated cars in terms of quality. ( Honda and GM recently surpassed them). But just two years ago there were holding the number one spot for a while. (based on Consumer Reports and JD Power). Volvo's are at the BOTTOM of the list in terms of quality and reliability. Keep in mind, Volvo's are essentially Fords
